Portland is not only known for it’s wonderful Rivers it is also known for it’s many beautiful Trees. Like this Heritage tree in Portland Oregon located at 8705 N. Newman. Local residents recall the storys of how this Tree was saved even though it sits smack dab in the middle of Newman Street. Newman street was a wider than normal street back in the day. When The collumbia Villa was first being built that street was proposed as the main entrance to the subdivision of low income housing. Given the majestic beauty of the street the main entrance was located a couple of blocks to the East.
